FACILITATING EXPERIENCES THAT PROMOTE

CHANGE FOR GOOD

CARRIE ALLISON BROOKS, Ed.D.

Leadership is the capacity to identify and develop one’s resources whether human or material. It further involves the ability to mobilize those resources in realizing a vision, reaching a goal, or resolving a problem.

It starts with who we are and then moves to what we do.

Learning and teaching are the most powerful tools in the leader’s repertoire.

Patricia H. Murrell

The University of Memphis, 1970-2019

Pat Murrell was a teacher to the very end of her life.

She was the person who taught me, among many things, that

"we are never finished."

ABOUT ME

My most rewarding professional experiences have happened in groups and with individuals when those “aha” moments happen. It’s thrilling to see people’s faces light up and hear them articulate a new perspective or moment of insight.

Aha moments don’t just happen. They come through creating safe spaces in which program participants, coaching clients and organizational partners are given the opportunity to explore new ideas and information, tell their stories and feel respected throughout that process. Providing solid frameworks on which participants can build upon their knowledge, experiences and relationships equips them to execute what they have learned and make lasting changes in their lives and workplaces.

I have been privileged to work with groups and individuals in state courts, higher education institutions and non-profits, as well as a diverse clientele ranging from creatives to judges to organization leaders. I have had the opportunity to witness many aha moments.

I would love to have a conversation with you about changes you envision that will advance your organizational or individual goals.
